The practical difference is who does the lifting, how long the waste stays on site and whether there is a suitable place for a bin.
When removal is usually the easier fit
Removal can suit furniture, appliances, garage clutter, end-of-lease loads and defined property clear-outs where the items are already identified. It also avoids leaving a container on a driveway or shared property.
Tell the crew where the items are located. Stairs, lifts and long carries still need to be disclosed so the visit can be planned safely.
When a skip may make sense
A skip can suit a project that produces suitable waste gradually and has enough placement space. You remain responsible for loading it and keeping prohibited material out.
Check placement, access, weight and material rules with the provider. Shared driveways, streets and managed properties may have additional requirements.
