Make the keep-and-remove line obvious
Group or mark the approved items where practical, especially during whole-room, garage, estate or moving clear-outs. Remove documents, valuables and personal items before the collection.
If some pieces are staying in the same room, make that clear at the walkthrough rather than relying on assumptions.
Plan a safe carrying route
Unlock gates, reserve the arranged access point and remove trip hazards from hallways or paths. Let the crew know about fragile surfaces, pets, low clearances, steep sections or doors that need special care.
For apartments and managed properties, confirm lift bookings, loading-zone access and permitted collection times before the visit.
Keep the scope current
If the load grows after the quote request, send the extra items before collection. A noticeably different load can change the time, space and handling required.
Keep hazardous or uncertain materials separate until they have been discussed. This prevents the ordinary collection from being delayed by an unidentified item.
